The Interior Decorator

Oh, won't You come down
And put a stethoscope to this heart of mine
Hear the clanging gongs and static pulses and flatlines
Journey through the layers of my mind
You heard me crying out to You all this time

And the interior decorator
Is coming once again
To change the blinds inside my head that keep falling closed again
Working through the night
Towards bringing in the light
Taking this home right off sand

You wrestle with the doubts in my head!
And your victories inside me are all like You've always said
They're flawless
I'm lawless
Won't you redecorate this house of mine
I got 10,000 worries
And with one hush we're about as close as a Muslim and swine!

And the interior decorator
Is coming once again
To change the blinds inside my head that keep falling closed again
Working through the night
Towards bringing in the light
Taking this home right off sand

How dare you break into this house
Rearranging all the things you did
Repairing everything you found
And once sparing me a life unlived
